Open-Ended Play
Open-ended play is the opposite of a toy with one correct answer. A set of wooden loose parts can be a shop, a road, a family or a pattern; a rainbow stacker can be a bridge, a tunnel or a hat. Our Open-Ended range carries 65 pieces — loose parts, peg dolls, rainbows, natural wood coins, rings, trees and building shapes.
This is the range that sells to Waldorf and Reggio-inspired nurseries, to makerspaces and to parents who are trying to buy fewer toys. It is also the easiest range to produce in natural, unpainted wood, which makes it attractive to buyers who need a low-chemical, low-plastic story.

Buying notes
What to check before you order
Natural sets are finished with a food-grade oil or left unfinished where the buyer prefers it. Colour sets use water-based stains; grain and tone vary between pieces by nature.
If you are building a range rather than buying one item, start with two or three bestsellers in the range and add depth later. We will send a loading plan and carton list before production starts.
Other ranges
Mix a container across ranges — most buyers do.
