About this product

This wooden musical instrument belongs to the Art & Music range and is built for preschool children. Play is mostly about rhythm and turn-taking in a group, with the kind of play that fills a rainy afternoon arriving without being taught. It ships as a single piece, measuring about 47*41*40cm, in solid hardwood.

Making it is a seven-stage job, and the finish is the slow part. Bars and keys are tuned by removing material from the underside, then sealed so moisture does not shift the pitch. Parts are tumbled and hand-sanded, then checked for splinters and loose hardware before assembly.

Orders start at 14 boxes, with about 7 days in production. A private-label version can change the finish, the packaging and the manual without a new mould. Samples go out in 3–7 working days.

Customisation

Logo (engraved or printed), paint colour to a Pantone or physical sample, timber species where the design allows, packaging (colour box, kraft box, display carton, gift box), printed warnings, barcode and importer details. Customisation on an existing product does not need new tooling; a new shape does, and we quote that as a one-off line.

Compliance

Tested to EN71 (EU), ASTM F963 and CPSIA (US) as required for the destination market, with CE marking where applicable. Reports are supplied per model. Age grading and small-parts classification follow the band shown above; warning text is printed from your artwork or matched to the destination market.

FAQ

Are the instruments tuned?
Xylophones and glockenspiels are tuned to a diatonic scale. Drums and shakers are checked for tone and volume consistency rather than pitch.
Can instruments carry our brand?
Yes — laser-engraved or printed logo on the body, and a printed box or cotton bag.
Is there a test report?
Yes, per model: EN71 for the EU, ASTM F963 and CPSIA for the US. Reports are supplied with the quotation.
