Play is mostly about language for size, colour and number, with one concept isolated so a child can see it arriving without being taught. It ships as a single piece, measuring about 20 * 20 * 0.8 cm, in birch plywood.

Making it is a seven-stage job, and the finish is the slow part. Sensorial pieces are cut to matched dimensions so that the size difference is the only variable a child can feel. Edges and corners are sanded by hand, then the piece is sealed on all faces so moisture does not move the grain.

10 acres is the minimum run and production takes roughly 10 days. Customisation covers logo, paint colour, timber and packaging, with the dieline printed to your artwork. A stock sample ships within a week.

Customisation

Logo (engraved or printed), paint colour to a Pantone or physical sample, timber species where the design allows, packaging (colour box, kraft box, display carton, gift box), printed warnings, barcode and importer details. Customisation on an existing product does not need new tooling; a new shape does, and we quote that as a one-off line.

Compliance

Tested to EN71 (EU), ASTM F963 and CPSIA (US) as required for the destination market, with CE marking where applicable. Reports are supplied per model. Age grading and small-parts classification follow the band shown above; warning text is printed from your artwork or matched to the destination market.
